THE CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH organized in 1859 and at once built a small church building. It was the first church building erected in El Paso, and was located on Second Street north of Jefferson Park. That building was sold on March 19, 1872 to the congregation of Emanuel Evangelical United Brethren.
The present Emanuel Evangelical United Brethren church (Harvest Fellowship) was built of brick on the same site in 1927. The building seats 250 persons and cost $17,200.
Fast forward to today...
Harvest Fellowship was part of a church plant movement in 1990 called "The Decade of Harvest." We are an Assemblies of God church and Harvest was the first group of this movement to be established. Salvation is the deliverance from spiritual death and enslavement by sin. God provides salvation for all who believe and accept His free offer of forgiveness.
All believers are entitled to receive the baptism in the Holy Spirit, and therefore should expect and earnestly seek the promise of the Father, according to the command of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Divine Healing from God is an integral part of the gospel. Deliverance from sickness is provided in the Atonement and healing is a privilege of all believers.
All Christians who have died will one day rise from their graves and will meet the Lord in the air. Christians who have not yet died will be raptured to be with the Lord.
